Welcome to Five Boro Liscenced Electrical Contractors Association

If you are a New York City Licensed Electrician, this is the Association for you. When I first became a licensed master electrician I was 27 years old. I had a lot of field experience, a good amount of schooling, and a small amount of business experience. Needless to say I was in need of help. I became a member of Five Boro and started attending the monthly meetings. I was amazed to see the amount of information that was being made available. Questions that I had in my head were being answered before I could even ask them, because other members were asking the same questions. Representatives from the local utility companies and from the department of buildings were always present and ready to help. Contractors were helping other contractors simply by telling stories of their own experiences. I found myself anxiious to attend as many meetings as I could. I became more involved in the association, and that made me more involved in the electrical industry.

Now I find myself at the forefront of the association leading the charge. I would not be here if it weren't for the other member that inspired me to become a more active member and get more involved. The officers and board members are always eager to help the members of the association. I urge all members to addend more meetings and licensed electricians who are not members to fill out an application and send it to our office. In our unique and complex city things are changing everyday. Being a member of an association like 5 boro is a neccesity if you are a Licensed Electrician.
